Day one of many

Today was officially day one of my journey to lose 100 pounds. I have been told many times that I don't have that much weight to lose, but I assure you I do. Today began with some pancakes for breakfast as requested by Son 1. After that is was off to the gym to meet my personal trainer for the first time. Man he is an intimidating fellow to look at. He has muscles galore!! But he is a rather soft spoken, nice individual. We first chatted a bit about my goals and current eating habits. He was none to impressed with my eating. Next we did measurements and fat percentages. I thought I would be 50+ percent fat. But according to his caliper, I'm at 36%. Which is obese. But it's lower than I expected. After that Trainer P made me work! Squats, push ups, step ups with a bicep curl and shoulder press, tricep pull downs, and pull ups!! All that and much more. I was working and loving every second. After my session, I hit the stair machine for 15 minutes and the elliptical for 15 minutes. I was TIRED! Whew!

Now that I know my fitness is in the hands of a trained professional, it's time to get the eating under control and full of fantastic vitamins and nutrients. I have previously tried some recipes from the Eat-Clean diet by Tosca Reno and I think this is going to be the way to go. Healthy nutritious food that my family will eat too. I'll keep you updated on how it goes.

I will be working out with Trainer P twice a week and the other 3 or 4 days will be cardio. I'm really excited to see where this goes!

My goals include:

*Lose 100#
*Become a runner
*Participate in a Warrior Dash
*Complete a half marathon
*Shop in regular women's section. No more plus sizes.

Until next time...
Live well!!
